Solenoid (2015)
Book
Published
A Bucharest teacher’s records of ordinary life expand into dreams, bodily unease and impossible dimensions. Solenoid earns its size by making that expansion feel like a sustained investigation, rather than a single surreal interruption. Sean Cotter’s English translation suits slow, attentive stretches, with no requirement that every image resolve into a neat symbol. Expect disturbing physical imagery and very little conventional plot reassurance.
