The Excavation of Hob's Barrow (2022)

Preparing an excavation gives ordinary requests and tools a clear purpose before the story grows stranger. The task list and hotspot display help separate 'I missed something' from 'I have not understood it yet'; examine inventory objects as well as scenery. It is a strong choice for following a chain of practical needs through a compact village. The official PC text and voices are English, and the folk horror becomes deeply unsettling rather than remaining a cosy antiquarian mystery.
