Howl's Moving Castle (1986)

Sophie’s curse changes what she dares to say and do, while housekeeping in a wizard’s castle pulls her into bargains she does not yet understand. The pleasure is in watching her confidence and the tangled magical plot develop together. This is a comic fairy-tale adventure with genuine threats and a dangerous witch, so choose it when you have room for peril alongside the domestic warmth.
