Bookshops & Bonedust (2023)

A younger, injured Viv is forced to stay put and becomes involved in a struggling seaside bookshop. The prequel gives her impatient temperament something to push against: reading, helping and leaving all require different kinds of courage. There is a dangerous magical plot as well as shelving and a small romance. Read it for a temporary community that changes what she will want later, rather than another version of the coffee-shop opening.
