The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches (2022)

Teaching three young witches gives Mika a concrete task and a reason to question the isolation she has been taught to accept. Lessons, secrecy and relationships within Nowhere House develop together, with romance part of the found family. Bereavement, fear of discovery and old emotional injuries are present. The comfort comes from people choosing responsibility for one another, not from everyone being safe before the story starts.
