The Nice Guys (2016)
Movie

Holly March, played by Angourie Rice, sees the adults' self-deception without being magically exempt from needing them. An imagined later investigation could make her choose which of their methods to keep. The useful story is her own practical ethics and ambition, rather than another round of praising a child for being more sensible than everyone else.
