Thessaly: The Complete Trilogy (The Just City, The Philosopher Kings, Necessity) (2017)

This volume collects The Just City, The Philosopher Kings and Necessity. Athena’s attempt to realise Plato’s ideal society makes education, assigned work, consent and the status of labouring robots into arguments with consequences. The experiment is examined rather than offered as a ready-made utopia. A long, philosophical blend of fantasy and science fiction, including coercion and sexual violence, for readers interested in how admirable principles can produce unjust institutions.
