Six of Crows (2015)

Kaz Brekker's impossible job needs people who can do things he cannot: a spy, a sharpshooter, a Heartrender and other specialists with reasons to distrust him. The pleasure lies in watching a dangerous plan depend on those particular people, while their histories alter what each is prepared to risk. This is a young-adult heist with substantial violence and trauma. Begin here, then read Crooked Kingdom for the crew's next struggle.
