Eddie the Eagle (2016)

Taron Egerton makes Eddie's determination both funny and disarmingly likeable, while Hugh Jackman's reluctant coaching adds an appealingly gruff partnership. The ski-jumping scenes supply a proper rush. Its particular comfort is the idea that taking your own ambition seriously can matter even when the people keeping score are unimpressed.
