Sing Street (2016)
Movie
Released
The joy is in watching a scrappy Dublin school band invent itself, one song and increasingly ambitious outfit at a time. Friendship turns tentative enthusiasm into something that feels possible. Family rows and school cruelty give it sharper edges than the gentlest choices here, but the music provides an unusually strong surge of hope.
