Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition (2013)

A class-linked stronghold and a party full of competing convictions give your build a place in the world beyond its spell list. Companion quests can interrupt the grand adventure with loyalties that matter on a smaller scale. Enhanced Edition includes the concluding Throne of Bhaal campaign and useful interface changes. The second-edition D&D rules demand study, especially spell protections and high-level encounters. Its character possibilities reward that work, although the story assumes a past that newcomers may want to read about first.
