Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition (2010)

An origin story gives your Grey Warden a social position before the wider crisis begins. Later encounters make that background matter, while companions argue about the compromises involved in assembling an alliance. Its strength is the meeting of a custom role, tactical party-building and relationships that can become uncomfortable. Ultimate Edition includes the expansion and additional story packs; GOG's maintained Windows package is a practical route. Pause often while learning the combat rather than letting its older rules obscure the decisions.
