Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen (2018)

The remake of the original story is the natural first stop for this fantasy saga. Long illustrated conversations establish the village and its loyalties, then battles ask you to move named allies across a grid and combine their attack and support ranges. Normal and Hard settings keep the choices straightforward, and automatic chain inputs can help if timed button presses interrupt your planning. The official English edition has Japanese voices. Expect a story-led pace and a largely fixed campaign, with the tactical decisions carrying more weight than a branching dialogue tree.
