Forming a unit is itself a puzzle: up to three characters take attacker, defender and supporter roles, and changing those roles at the right moment can alter a fight. Strongholds restore resources and support development, making the route across the map important too. Lengthy visual-novel scenes connect this substantial strategy game. The official English Steam edition is available with Japanese voices; Normal, Hard and Eternal describe its difficulty range. Approach it after Aselia for the series context and system foundation, rather than expecting a light introduction to tactical combat.
