The Witness for the Dead (2021)

Thara Celehar's ability to hear the recently dead makes him a religious servant whom ordinary people approach with painful, practical problems. Clerical rivalries sit beside modest living, cemetery duties and the obligation to keep listening when an answer may hurt. An unusually good choice for readers interested in pastoral vocation as daily work. It begins the Cemeteries of Amalo trilogy in the world of The Goblin Emperor.
