VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action (2016)

Jill's work behind the counter makes her the steady centre of a city glimpsed through other people's troubles. What she serves shapes conversations, while her own past and everyday needs keep her from being a blank observer. Choose it for a woman carrying a speculative story through skilled, ordinary work rather than saving the world or selecting a lover. English reading dominates, interrupted by drink mixing; sexual humour, alcohol and frank adult conversations are frequent.
