Divine Cities Trilogy (2018)

Three novels: City of Stairs, City of Blades and City of Miracles. Each changes its principal viewpoint while carrying forward the consequences of dead gods, empire and political upheaval. The final book gives earlier relationships and sacrifices new weight. Choose the trilogy for connected mysteries that become a larger reckoning, with the expectation that the person leading one volume may not lead the next. It is violent and often sad, with room for dry humour.
