The Books of Earthsea (2018)

This collection brings together all five Earthsea novels and the short fiction, including the stories in Tales from Earthsea. Read from A Wizard of Earthsea towards The Other Wind, with Tehanu and the later tales changing how the earlier heroic assumptions look. The sequence develops from adventure into a quieter examination of power, care and freedom. Choose it for the way a writer can revisit and deepen a world across decades, rather than keeping every instalment in the same mode.
