Paladin's Grace (2020)

A perfumer and a paladin whose god has died are an excellent match for readers who want awkward, adult tenderness alongside a real mystery. Grace's professional knowledge and Stephen's damaged sense of duty both matter to the conspiracy, while their uncertainty makes the attraction endearing. There is on-page sex and a satisfying romantic arc. Start here in the Saint of Steel sequence; later books follow other couples within a continuing world.
