Skald: Against the Black Priory (2024)

Skald gives a small party expedition the force of a much larger fantasy crisis. Supplies, character skills and turn-based fights make survival practical, while the low-resolution art leaves room for horrors that are more disturbing than their size suggests. Its modest PC following fits the scale of this independent release. Choose it for a directed adventure with an old-computer appearance and modern conveniences, allowing for bleak material and a combat-heavy journey.
