One stick and one button make the standard controller the intended instrument: tap impacts, hold through barriers and bank around corners as the beetle hurtles forward. The PC publisher strongly recommends a traditional pad, so this is an especially direct answer to the equipment question. Play on an ordinary screen; VR is optional. Choose it for concentrated, forceful phrases rather than a broad song catalogue. The small input vocabulary becomes demanding through speed and combined actions, not through buying more buttons.
