Roll the left analogue stick around its outer edge to trace a musical ribbon, while the right stick marks targets and a trigger fires. The continuous curve makes a melody feel different from a string of separate button presses. The original PC game requires a controller with two analogue sticks and triggers, so a keyboard is not a direct substitute. Rumble provides useful tracing feedback. Keeping one smooth path going while the other thumb aims becomes demanding; Chill-out mode offers a less pressured way to explore.
