Just Shapes & Beats (2018)

Each of up to four local players steers a separate little shape through hazards choreographed to electronic music. You move and dash rather than press a note chart, so this is a musical bullet-hell alternative for friends whose tastes lean towards action. Co-operation and bringing a fallen teammate back make a strong player useful without taking over someone else's controls. The PC game supports couch play with controllers, and Story Mode has a Casual option. The dense, flashing presentation can still make a first session intense.
