Two players can turn matching shakes and poses into a shared pop performance in the local party modes. Motion play needs a Joy-Con pair for each person, not one pair for the duo. Agree on motion or button style together, since local players cannot mix those styles. The Switch edition's two-player mode is the recommendation here, rather than its larger online player counts. It is entertaining to perform side by side, but each person still needs to learn the intended controller angles before higher difficulties feel fair.
