Haunting of Tram Car 015 (2019)

A possessed tram car gives two Cairo officials a problem that cannot be solved by waving away its passengers' concerns. Clark fits bureaucracy, labour and women's political rights inside a supernatural investigation. The altered city feels larger because the case encounters its ordinary systems at work. A self-contained novella in the Dead Djinn universe, with no need to begin with the shorter story A Dead Djinn in Cairo.
