Follow Her Home (2013)

Juniper Song knows Los Angeles noir through reading before she has much experience conducting an investigation. A favour for a friend draws her into a suspected affair and then something much more dangerous. Cha lets the gap between an attractive detective story and the consequences of meddling do useful work. Start with this first Song book: she is an amateur here, and her Korean American family history gives her concerns that Marlowe cannot supply.
