The Mystery of the Yellow Room (2005)
Book
Published
A young woman is attacked in an inaccessible bedroom, and journalist Joseph Rouletabille insists the apparent facts can be reconciled. Leroux makes the room’s boundaries and competing accounts central, with enough old-fashioned argument to reward a patient reader. Pick it if you enjoy a detective challenging the interpretation of evidence. Its melodrama and period pacing are part of the experience; this is not a minimalist contemporary puzzle.
