A story shaped by a damaging accusation eventually asks what storytelling itself can repair. The final perspective makes an emotionally satisfying account different from an act of restitution. Keeping that distinction painful gives the film its force: beautiful scenes and sincere remorse cannot simply return another person's lost time.
