Shuri's grief makes the demand to protect a nation collide with the desire to hurt back. The tension with Talokan gives both communities reasons to fear exploitation, rather than supplying a disposable invader. Its mourning scenes give the geopolitical spectacle a painful private centre, although the expansive story can feel uneven. Watch Black Panther first.
