Logan (2017)
Movie
Released
James Mangold puts care ahead of heroic status: an exhausted Logan looks after an ailing Charles Xavier before a young mutant demands a different kind of responsibility. The ageing bodies make every familiar burst of violence feel expensive. The question is what remains to give when strength and public purpose are failing. Graphic injury and bereavement make it firmly adult viewing.
