Begin with Spirit mode and watch what changes when an enemy falls: its remaining shots become harmless ghost bullets. That makes it a useful lesson in separating danger from a screen that merely looks crowded. Only the small core of your craft is vulnerable, so guide that point through a gap instead of trying to protect the whole sprite. Graze mode changes the conditions for those cancellations and is a later challenge; a Spirit clear does not mean you have learned the same route under both systems.
