Dark Matter (2010)

A wireless operator joins an Arctic expedition in 1937, when the retreat of daylight also means a shrinking margin for help. Paver gives ordinary routines and the surrounding silence enough space to become unsettling. This is openly a ghost story: practical preparation matters, but it cannot explain every danger. Pick it for patient dread and the strain of staying in an isolated place as the season closes around it.
