Two local players can divide attention between enemies in front and threats deeper in the scene. Use the updated PC version and try Novice or Medium first. Its January 2026 patch lets a dead partner return by spending one point of the survivor's health, provided the survivor has more than one left. That option is absent in Arcade mode, so choose the mode together rather than discovering its harsher death rule halfway through the evening.
