Songs in the Key of Life (1976)

Stevie Wonder makes a generous case for how much one album can hold: childhood memories, social anger, romantic devotion and the physical pleasure of a great groove. Sir Duke is the bright, brass-filled invitation. Allow time for the longer journey, where the exuberant songs and the searching ballads make each other feel more human.
