Explosive barrels, dangerous stage edges and weapons lying between fighters make the space worth reading before you start a combo. A throw can move a problem towards a hazard; a tossed weapon can be caught and used again with good timing. Choose this for compact, legible environmental decisions inside a traditional side-scrolling brawler. Many breakable objects simply contain supplies, so the pleasure is recognising a useful situation rather than treating every piece of scenery as a weapon.
