Start with the first Fighting Force in this two-game collection: breaking objects and scavenging usable weapons is part of its scrappy three-dimensional street fighting. It suits the player who wants to rummage through an arena and see what survives as a blunt instrument. Save states and rewind make its old controls easier to tolerate, but they do not turn it into a modern precision brawler. The included sequel moves towards solo shooting and is not the reason for this recommendation.
