Lookouts (2022)

Two gay transmasculine outlaws find a possible refuge in each other while their gangs expect loyalty. Their shared understanding makes the tenderness feel earned, and the sparse, warm-coloured Western art gives a small gesture room to register. This is a particular couple's story, not a roster of partners to select. Choose the expanded full release rather than the original jam version. Guns, blood, transphobia and discussion of settler violence sit beside the hope.
