L.A. Confidential (1997)
Movie
Released
Three detectives with incompatible methods pursue a case through a city where publicity and corruption repeatedly distort the evidence. Curtis Hanson gives the conspiracy enough human motives that following it never feels like decoding a chart. For viewers who enjoy a larger cast of suspects, it is rewarding to watch separate enquiries collide and apparently minor connections gain force.
