Mulatu of Ethiopia

Mulatu Astatke's vibraphone, winding melodies and supple rhythms offer a friendly first encounter with Ethio-jazz. The opening Mulatu gives you a recurring figure to follow. Choose the original seven-track stereo programme, under half an hour, rather than the expanded issue that repeats it in mono; the sequence keeps its atmosphere concentrated.
