Carli Lloyd

Lloyd was 32 when her hat-trick helped decide the 2015 World Cup final, and she followed the tournament's Golden Ball with consecutive FIFA player awards for 2015 and 2016. Her scoring freedom closer to goal gave a powerful midfielder another way to influence matches. Her earlier Olympic-winning goals already mattered; this later run made her the central figure on an even bigger stage.
