Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Movie
Released
Andrew Garfield's Peter catches MJ after the film echoes Gwen Stacy's fatal fall in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The rescue gives his return a task that belongs to his particular history, rather than simply another chance to pose beside other Spider-Men. His shaken check that she is safe lets an old failure affect a new action. It offers a moment of repair without pretending Gwen has been restored.
