Birgit Prinz

Prinz helped Germany win the 2003 and 2007 World Cups while Frankfurt became a major force in European club competition. Three consecutive FIFA world player awards underline the level of her forward play. Her place here is as a highly visible standard-setter during the period when women's continental club football and global individual recognition were becoming more established.
