Innervisions (1973)

Stevie Wonder gives each song a distinct job, from the inward calm of Visions to the street drama of Living for the City. The quieter writing makes the sharper social observations feel part of a whole emotional life. Different moods share the same melodic care, giving the songs between the best-known moments their own reasons to stay.
