Finding a well lets you send useful equipment to the surface for future loadouts. That gives exploration a reward beyond surviving another wave. Within a run, weapon traits and abilities encourage deliberate specialisation. The base game's 30-minute structure suits a planned evening session, with a grim, pre-rendered look distinct from the cartoon alternatives. Quests, blessings and recovered gear also create a substantial permanent progression layer.
