That makes firing to protect another unit a visible calculation, not just an animation. Inspect the steadiness gauge and use a nearby HQ's rally ability before a crucial move. The Normandy battles are historically inspired fictional scenarios. Start with standalone play; Campaign and Battlegroup modes carry a persistent force, with permanent losses in Campaign.
