A machine-gun team can deny an approach by suppressing infantry, while another squad works around the firing arc or uses smoke to cross. Directional cover markers and retreat orders make those relationships easier to read than in many detailed simulations. Begin with the PC version's solo battles, where Full Tactical Pause lets you issue orders without racing the clock. This is a larger WWII RTS with resources and reinforcement, rather than a campaign built around one fixed roster of individually named soldiers.
