Second Front (2023)
Game
Released
For a more tabletop-like WWII alternative, squads, support weapons and leaders operate through a sequence of phases rather than one simple move-and-shoot turn. Fire can leave infantry cowering or broken, so following up on a shaken position can be more useful than spreading shots across fresh targets. Buildings, terrain and leadership all belong in the plan. Start with a small scenario and the tutorials before a linked campaign: its clear-looking models sit over demanding rules, including morale recovery and opportunities to fire during the opposing side's movement.
