A useful choice for inspecting the arithmetic behind supporting fire. Its suppression action spends two attacks for one normal attack's damage but twice the morale damage, and can target a tile without a visible enemy. Low morale removes attacking and overwatch options; further pressure can force a rout. Check the expanded combat prediction before committing another unit. Cover from walls depends on angle, and damaged buildings protect less. Campaign crews and unit upgrades add continuity, while HQ rally and reinforcement abilities make recovery an explicit tactical resource.
