Sridhar Vembu

Vembu helped build Zoho, originally AdventNet, with co-founder Tony Thomas and the wider founding team. Selling useful business software supplied revenue for further development rather than a sequence of venture rounds. Vembu has explained the decision in terms of being able to run the company without an investor exit timetable. Its breadth makes the case interesting: independence supported investment across products, training and engineering over many years.
