Frozen Synapse 2 (2018)

The sequel keeps the Prime-and-resolve squad combat but adds a city where factions, bases and deployed teams generate a wider strategic problem. Curved cover, new unit types and the Focus Diamond add more to reason about before locking in a plan. Use the added skirmish generator to isolate those tactical changes, and full-match replays to revisit finished encounters. The city campaign brings substantially more administration and unevenly paced engagements than the original. Start with the first Frozen Synapse if learning the simultaneous system itself is the main goal.
